Hey! It's been a while since I've posted anything on here. My summer has been busy and exciting and now the new thing is school. It's been tough getting used to the new home school curriculum but I'm doing fine now. I wanted to let you know that I am moving my blog from here to a new site. FIELD TRIP

April 22 we went on a field trip to Medieval Times in Toronto. There is a "kingdom" which you go into and you watch a tournament and eat lunch. We had tons of fun watching the Joust and sword fights. Word of Life Snow Camp

Me and my brother went to Word of Life Snow Camp which is an event that lasts from a Fri-Sun and there is sledding, scavenger hunt, concert, games, and a whole lot of teenagers. So Much Fun

A lot of things have happened since the beginning of the school year! One "ordinary" night in October I was taking the garbage out when out of nowhere there were guys all around me yelling. Well, what I soon found out is that all the guys in my parents class had been planning to "kidnap" me and take me out to dinner, we had a lot of fun.

At the beginning of the year one of the kids in my class came up with the brilliant idea of writing a newspaper for the campus here. Everyone was thrilled except me, but now that we have finished one issue I kind of like it. You can check it out at http://ntmcacademy.blogspot.com/. I was surprised that after one issue we are already changing everything. We are now using a new program to create the actual newspaper. Before we were using Microsoft Publisher but now we are going to use a more PROFESSIONAL program...that's right, we are moving up in the world by using Adobe INDESIGN. I want to say thank you to Jason Bechtel who is going to be teaching us on how to use this new program. Thanks again. Also I think we are planning to switch up some of the articles.

Then we got our report cards. I know what your thinking..."UH...those dreaded report cards!!" Well, really it's not that bad. I got mine back and was surprised that my lowest grade was only an 86%. I was one happy kid to see that the rest were in the 90's.

On November 10th, my family, Ryan and Jen McDaniel, Mark and Emma Debrowski, Cynthia Mushaluk, and Steve amd Mary Wyma went to Kensington Market in Toronto, Ontario. We had a blast experiencing different cultures, eating (not weird!!!) different foods, and hanging out with the other families.

The latest and greatest thing that has happened to us is that we have been planning a trip to NYC. My Uncle Zach and Aunt Laura have been wanting to do something fun with us for a while so we decided to take a road trip. They are looking into hotels and we are looking at some fun attractions. I can't wait to go and hang out with them in NYC. Well that's all for now! Check back soon. You never know when I'm going to just decide to post something.

First Day of School

I survived the first day of school! It's good to be back, but it's very tiring. Classes and homework has been easy, and I have 2 new classmates. We've been having a good time so far.

High School Field Trip -- 5/8/08-5/9/08

Every year the high school has a big field trip for the high school. This year they split the guys and girls so there were two trips. The guys trip was AWESOME! First we played paintball on in the pits. That was a lot of fun. After that we went to Cypress Lake to go camping. We had a fun time together and now I want to do it again. After spending the night we ate breakfast and packed up and left to go on a hike to the grotto. I got same cool pictures there. Later we went to Owen Sound and ate at Montana's and saw "Iron Man" in theaters. We had a blast and really wanted to stay. There are pictures below.

First Year Social

April 9th we had a 1st year social. All the families (and some staff) brought a pizza to share or a dessert. After we all ate we could either go in the lounge and play board games or card games or we could go in the classroom and play the best video game system ever...Wii. I played a round of bowling, tennis, and boxing. it was so much fun and even my parents joined in. My mom to bowled and my dad played golf. Later we settled down and played some Apples To Apples (a board game). This was an awesome night of fun and can't wait to do it again.

Maple Syrup

There's a few people up here who for a few years now have made maple syrup. If you know my family you know we love maple syrup, so we thought we would help out this year. April 5 they were finally boiling down the sap and had a big pancake breakfast for everyone. We had to walk out through the woods to finally get there. I've never had syrup so good before. There was a lot of people there from 1st and 2nd year classes and staff.

Toronto Autoshow 2008

We had tons of fun Saturday (Feb. 23rd) when we went to the car show. They had every make of car imaginable. It was amazing looking at the different cars. They had my dream cars, Lamborghini. I got a bunch of pictures of those. Pictures are at the bottom.

Staff Spiritual Refreshment Conference

The whole campus had from the 20th to the 22nd off because of the Spiritual Refreshment Conference for the staff. That's a lot of adults so guess where all their kids went. That's right...we had to watch a bunch of kids all week. 9 guys and approximately 14 kids. It was crazy, just look at the pictures down below.

Were Back!

We left around 11:00 this morning. We had a very easy trip up other than taking a wrong turn but we knew exactly where we were. We got back safe and unpacked quickly. I want to thank everyone back home for their prayers.

Home, Sweet Home!!

My parents surprised me the 14th when I got up and they said we we're leaving. Well I was already packed but wasn't planning on leaving until the 15th. I found out all the information and was so excited when we were finally on our way home. Since then we've been very busy and have settled in well. We have some busy weeks ahead of us all the way up until we leave in January. See you soon and Merry Christmas!

Winter is Here

We got more snow this past week. It started Thursday morning with freezing rain and Thursday night with SNOW! We got maybe an inch or so but hopefully there's more to come. We had a big snowball fight at school (although it didn't last long with so little snow). All the high schoolers got together before lunch yesterday and attacked (well tried to anyways) everyone on campus. It didn't last long but we still had fun.
